Today

An extraordinary cultural destination. A place that inspires awe and wonder, creativity and learning

In 1998, The Greenwich Foundation, an independent charity, was established to conserve the magnificent baroque buildings and grounds of the Old Royal Naval College for present and future generations, providing opportunities for broad and diverse audiences to enjoy and share their significance and beauty.

Our historic buildings and iconic grounds are filled with life. As well as one of London’s most popular attractions, welcoming over 1.2 million visitors every year, and hailed as possibly the world’s most popular filming location, we also share the site with a vibrant community including the University of Greenwich and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance.

100 years of film

To celebrate the amazing milestone of 100 years of filming, we’ve launched a brand‑new tour. This exclusive behind‑the‑scenes experience offers you the opportunity to uncover the closely guarded secrets of filmmaking and lets you step in the shoes and onto the set of stars.

Over the decades, our venue has welcomed some of the world’s most celebrated actors and directors. This enduring legacy not only highlights our rich cinematic heritage but also inspires us to continue creating memorable film experiences.
