Immersive art installations
November welcomes a duo of new immersive art experiences, starting with the return of Luxmuralis (6-8 and 11-15 November) and their show, Lost Worlds. This immersive light and sound experience will guide you on a journey through myths, legends and ancient civilisations, as you explore our UNESCO World Heritage Site buildings after dark.
Later in the month, the Painted Hall will be transformed by Peace Doves, a new mass-participation artwork by artist Peter Walker, bringing thousands of individual messages of hope, peace and love to our celestial ceiling. If you’re keen to hear from the artist behind the artwork, then join us on opening night (20 November), when Peter will delve into his creative process in an exclusive talk exploring art, scale and collective hope.
Meanwhile, Cornwallis Cloth continues its run in the Visitor Centre, exploring previously unexplored narratives of British Caribbean lives during World War 2.
Christmas in Greenwich
December sees the return of Christmas to our historic site with firm family favourites and new unmissable experiences. Admiral’s House will be richly decorated, creating a picture-perfect environment for our new Christmas Social Media Days. The festive spirit continues with the Three Inch Fools and a spine-tingling performance of the Dickens classic A Christmas Carol, and Carol concerts by the Trinity Laban Choir in the Chapel of St Peter and St Paul, with entrance to Peace Doves included in your ticket.
For those looking to experience Christmas with a twist, discover a morning of indulgence with Festive Yoga and Brunch dance the night away with a Silent Disco in the Painted Hall, or explore the richly adorned Admiral’s House after dark with a seasonal Murder Mystery experience.
