Created by internationally acclaimed artistic collaboration Luxmuralis, artist and sculptor Peter Walker and composer David Harper, Lost Worlds is an immersive light and sound installation that takes audiences on an extraordinary journey through the great civilisations, myths and forgotten histories of humanity.

Transforming historic spaces into vast moving canvases of colour, projection and sound, the experience invites visitors to travel through the ancient worlds of the Etruscans, Egyptians, Romans, Mayans and Anglo-Saxons, encountering cave paintings, medieval manuscripts, maps of exploration, mythic kingdoms and the natural world in a richly layered visual narrative. Accompanied by an original cinematic soundtrack, Lost Worlds combines large-scale digital projection artwork with compelling storytelling to create a contemplative and awe-inspiring experience that connects the past with the present.

The installation unfolds through a series of captivating environments, from prehistoric cave art and evolving ancient patterns to the vivid worlds of knights, castles and illuminated manuscripts. Audiences encounter imagined and historical lost worlds, from the Garden of Eden and the mythical cities of Atlantis and Troy to the age of dinosaurs and the shared world of today. Created in response to extraordinary architecture, Lost Worlds invites visitors not simply to observe, but to become part of the artwork itself, surrounded by light, movement and sound.

At the Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, audiences will witness a breathtaking bespoke projection as Sir James Thornhill’s iconic Painted Hall masterpiece is reimagined on Sir Christopher Wren’s magnificent dome. Blending historic artistry with cutting-edge projection technology, this extraordinary installation transforms the architecture into a spectacular canvas of light, creating one of the defining moments of the experience.

Following the success of Time, which transformed the Old Royal Naval College after dark as the venue’s first immersive light and sound experience, Luxmuralis return to Greenwich with Lost Worlds. Renowned for transforming some of the UK’s most treasured landmarks through light, sound and storytelling, Luxmuralis continue to create extraordinary experiences that reveal historic spaces in unexpected and inspiring ways.

Designed as an immersive walking journey through the many historic spaces of the Old Royal Naval College, Lost Worlds invites visitors to discover a series of spectacular installations inspired by the site’s rich heritage. Created for audiences of all ages, the experience offers moments of wonder, reflection and shared discovery, transforming one of London’s most iconic landmarks into an unforgettable after-dark experience.
