Painted Hall, Chapel & Visitor Centre
Daily | 10am-5pm (last entry 4.30pm)

Grounds
Daily | 8am-11pm

Closures

When we are hosting special events, we sometimes need to close areas early. Any early or partial closures will be published on our website below, in advance.

The Painted Hall will close:

  • Sunday 23 to Friday 28 August 2026 – all day
  • Saturday 29 August 2026 – from 4pm
  • Saturday 5 September 2026 – all day
  • Sunday 6 September 2026 – from 3pm
  • Monday 7 September 2026 – all day
  • Friday 11 September 2026 – from 4pm
  • Saturday 12 September 2026 – from 3pm
  • Sunday 13 September 2026– from 4pm
  • Saturday 19 September 2026 – from 4pm
  • Saturday 26 September 2026 – from 3:30pm

The Chapel will close:

  • Thursday 26 November – all day

Tours

We run talks throughout the day in the Painted Hall as well as daily tours that are all included in the price of your ticket; simply join a tour on the day.*

*Subject to availability, please ask a member of staff what tours are available on the day.
