“Utterly blissed out” – Financial Times
De-stress and get your culture fix all in one” – Evening Standard Magazine

Inspired by our Chocolate House Greenwich exhibition, join us for a evening to remember in the stunning Painted Hall. This event presents an opportunity to slow down and absorb the vibrations of live harp music, whilst taking part in an uplifting, restful and meditative experience.

Your host, Emma, will guide you to reconnect with the ground beneath your feet and inwards to listen to your heart. Emma will lead you through a divine cacao drinking ceremony and, with your heart gently opened and deeply nourished, you’ll then get to lie down and bathe in the vibrational bliss of the live harp.

The session will conclude with a guided relaxation and meditation with Emma and pianist/sound healer Christina who will be making use of Tibetan bowls. You’ll leave feeling rested, connected and revitalised. Plus, you’ll receive a treat from small batch chocolate creators Tosier to take home with you.

What an amazing experience, room set up for pure relaxation, warm and comfortable. Christina made you feel safe. Music was unbelievable. Exceeded my expectations and I slept so well last night” - Event attendee

This meditative inward journey was aesthetically, audibly, orally, emotionally and cognitively pleasing – an absolute treat for the senses” – Event attendee

What is a Cacao Ceremony?

Cacao ceremonies are ancient rituals originating from Mesoamerican cultures, where cacao was revered as a sacred plant medicine. Traditionally, these ceremonies involved the consumption of raw cacao in a communal setting, often accompanied by music, chanting, and prayer, to facilitate spiritual and emotional healing, connection with the divine, and community bonding.

In modern times, cacao ceremonies have been revived and adapted across the globe. They are often used as a means of promoting mindfulness, emotional release, and personal transformation. Participants typically gather in a circle, consume a specially prepared cacao drink, and engage in meditation, intention setting, and various forms of artistic expression. The natural compounds in cacao, such as theobromine and magnesium, are believed to enhance mood, increase energy, and promote heart-opening experiences, making these ceremonies a popular tool for holistic well-being and community building.
