Inspiring people with the history of the Old Royal Naval College is at the heart of what we do. Our free year-round learning programme provides opportunities for people to discover something new every day.
Alongside a thriving primary and secondary school programme, we run regular tours and workshops for community groups, BSL and Audio-Described tours and a lively and varied programme of free activities for families.
Sharing our spaces and our stories with people of all ages means we can explore everything from Tudor beehives and Georgian architecture to drunken sailors and Arctic explorers.
Discover the history and artistic genius behind the magnificent Painted Hall and Neoclassical Chapel on one of our regular tours. Explore the lives of the sailors who found refuge here after a life at sea and about the many monarchs who crossed at our gates in our school and family sessions.
Our bright and well-resourced learning rooms allow us to run workshops and discussion groups alongside tours of our expansive site.
In September 2022, our education programme was awarded the highly esteemed Sandford Award for heritage education. Learn more.
