In this session children will learn how Lord Admiral Nelson’s body was brought to Greenwich and lay-in-state for three days in the Painted Hall.

For KS1/Lower KS2 children will then make a Pensioners hat to decorate.

For Upper KS2 children will use contemporary newspaper articles and paintings as inspiration, to produce their own newspaper article on this historic event.
