Hidden Maps: Symbols and Meaning
Upper Key stage 2: Historical enquiry skills, local studies, teamwork
In this interactive workshop students will consider the variety of ways that the world has been, and continues to be, depicted in the form of maps and symbols. Students will examine the symbols and artwork of the Painted Hall to learn about how the world was viewed at that time. They will then create an individual map using symbols important to them.
