Experience Lie Down and Listen, a blissful sound healing and lying down classical concert in the Painted Hall. Feel deeply relaxed with Tibetan bowl healing vibrations and music as you lie down on soft mattresses.

Listen to the powerful, hypnotic and inspiring Metamorphosis by Philip Glass as sound healer Christina guides you into a state of deep relaxation. Lay down on cosy beds made up with mattresses, cushions and blankets so that you can let go and allow the Tibetan bowl sounds, music and blissful vibrations to move through you. The session will include a guided yoga Nidra relaxation and meditation.

About the organiser: Christina McMaster  

Christina McMaster is a pianist and composer fascinated by deep listening and sound. She is the founder of ‘Lie down and Listen’ –a meditation, sound healing and lying down classical concert experience. 

She has performed at numerous UK festivals and worldwide and is known for her creative approach to programming.

Important access information

Please note that the main lift to access the Painted Hall is currently out of order due to a technical fault. There are 7 steps to access the King William Undercroft, 20 steps to access the Lower Vestibule of the Painted Hall, 16 steps to access the Main Vestibule the Painted Hall and a further 7 steps to access the Upper Hall.
