“De-stress and get your culture fix all in one” – Evening Standard Magazine
“Such a beautiful and unique experience in an amazing space” – Lie Down and Listen attendee
Lie Down and Listen returns this December to the Painted Hall with Illumination – a special edition of this experience. You’ll be surrounded by baroque beauty juxtaposed with the striking Connection and Identity art installations by Peter Walker.
As you walk into the space, you’ll feel the illuminating sense of awe. As you lay down on soft mattresses, you’ll be guided into a meditative and dreamy state as you feel the deep resonances of the Gong and Tibetan Bowl sound healing move through you. The heavenly sounds of the harp played by Olivia Jageurs sharing the music of Max Richter, Phillip Glass and Einaudi.
Your guide is Zephyr Wildman – a senior yoga teacher based in London since 2002. She’s an innovator in the art and science of yoga. Yoga is not only movement, but a way of life and in fact one of the earliest ‘yogas’ was the nada yoga – the yoga of listening.
This is what this session focuses on, guiding you into connecting with your inner self through deep listening, silence, sound and music as you lay in the ultimate of yoga poses: shavasana – rest position.
You’ll leave feeling deeply rested and illuminated.
