Old Royal Naval College hosts a Bridgerton Late Event
Fri 1 Sep 23
On Friday 25 of August, the Old Royal Naval College hosted the first ever Bridgerton Late, which allowed visitors to dress up and travel back in time to the Regency Era.
Activities included group dance lessons by professional dancers in costume; a watercolour artist, Heather Pacic, creating a Bridgerton-inspired piece in real time; live music by Hirvi Quartet from Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music; talks and demonstrations about fans of the era delivered by The Fan Museum; and a range of retail and bespoke cocktails for sale.
Over 250 visitors crossed the grand entrance of the Painted Hall throughout the night, many of whom attended in full costume, including celebrity tailor Zack Pincer, influencer Ticija Hax, blogger Ivelina Ivanova, and many more.

The Old Royal Naval College has been used as a backdrop for several scenes in the much-loved Neflix period drama, Bridgerton. In seasons I and II, a paperboy can be seen scurrying around the Colonnades, delivering the latest scandalous information of Lady Whistledown’s papers. In the Queen Charlotte spin-off, the iconic Old Royal Naval College domes featured in a sad scene of a funeral procession. A new season is coming soon and it will also feature the Old Royal Naval College.
