For millennia, doves have been symbols of hope, peace and love across many cultures.
Taking inspiration from this, Peace Doves is a mass participation artwork from renowned artist Peter Walker Sculptor. Made up of individual doves created by members of the public, complete with handwritten messages of peace, this promises to be an art installation like no other.
Peace Doves will be on display in the Painted Hall from 21 November until 7 February 2027. Book now to view this breathtaking installation, as we celebrate 300 years of this astonishing Baroque masterpiece.

Leave your mark in the Painted Hall and be a part of our legacy, as we celebrate the 300th anniversary of our Baroque masterpiece.
All you need to do is visit us between June and November 2026 and make your own peace dove to feature in the final artwork. Peace dove making stations will be located in the Painted Hall and in the Chapel. We will also be inviting schools in the region to take part.
