Greenwich Gin shop opens at the Old Royal Naval College
Thu 14 Nov 24
The Old Royal Naval College welcomes Greenwich Spirits Company as a new partner sharing its prestigious UNESCO maritime site in Greenwich. The premium craft distillery will open its doors on Saturday 16 November, offering visitors a behind-the-scenes look at the distillation process, a chance to sample the award-winning gin and purchase bottles of small batch gin from the new Mews Courtyard shop this autumn.
The distillery shop provides Greenwich Spirits Company with a local presence in the heart of Greenwich town centre. The distinctive space will welcome gin and spirits aficionados from across London, the UK and beyond. Visitors will be able to enjoy various distillery experiences including gin tastings, cocktail making masterclass and a gin lab for creating your own gin. The guided experiences will be available for individual guests, couples, groups and private groups.
The experience-centric distillery will showcase the craftmanship of the award-winning small batch gin. It will not only educate visitors about gin, distillation and spirits but also tell the story of the maritime legacy of Greenwich through experiences, tastings and masterclasses.
Greenwich Spirits Company’s flagship product is the Marine London Dry Gin which celebrates the maritime legacy of Greenwich and the Great Explorers who sailed on adventures around the world. Its flavour journey is reminiscent of an ocean voyage to explore unique world flavours. The distillery shop will open just in time for showcasing their new Longitude Spiced Rum which through its ingredients, tells the story of one of the most dramatic pursuits of all times: the quest for longitude.
With sustainability being at the core of the business, visitors will be able to bring their own bottle to be refilled and save on the bottle price while helping the environment.
Future collaborations between Old Royal Naval College and Greenwich Spirits Company are being developed to tell the Greenwich maritime story and attract visitors and residents with the introduction of new products, pop-ups and special events.
