Immerse yourself in the art of tea tasting in the breathtaking setting of the Painted Hall. Led by 2 tea practitioners, Haolin and Howard, this after-hours experience offers a sensory journey through the traditions, flavours and heritage of tea.

In collaboration with The London House of Wellbeing, this experience will explore six premium teas, each representing one of the major tea categories, while gaining insight into their history, production and cultural significance.

What’s included:

  • Tasting of six premium Chinese teas from across the major tea categories: Green, White, Yellow, Oolong, Black and Dark (fermented)
  • Cultural context and history behind each tea
  • An interactive tea quiz
  • Visual presentation

Duration: 90 minutes

About Chen Ma

Devoted to the practice of tea for many years, Chen Ma is a Senior Tea Master and Evaluator, and Tea Aesthetics Lecturer. Their practice is deeply rooted in the spirit and aesthetics of the Eastern tea ceremony, viewing tea as a quiet bridge between sensory experience and inner awareness, their work reflects a contemplative and refined approach to living.

Guided by the philosophy of the literati tea tradition, their teaching moves beyond technique to explore atmosphere, rhythm, and presence — cultivating a heightened sensitivity to beauty in everyday life.
