Local Jim Morrison, who has been volunteering at the Old Royal Naval College for over 10 years, is one of 10 finalists in with a chance of winning VisitEngland’s annual Tourism Superstar competition, supported by The Mirror.

Tourism Superstar recognises unsung heroes who go far beyond the call of duty to ensure visitors in their area have an unforgettable experience. Jim is an experienced and knowledgeable guide and his tours have received excellent feedback over the years. Jim’s commitment to ensuring the best experience for visitors is clear, providing tours six days a week, come rain or shine, doing his own research into the iconic Old Royal Naval College, Greenwich, to find the best stories to tell visitors.

Jim was nominated for this exciting award by VisitGreenwich, the destination management organisation which helps and supports the growth of visitors to the local area.

The winner will be announced on Saturday 25th April as part of English Tourism Week (18th – 25th April), which showcases the quality, range and value of English tourism and raises awareness of the enormous contribution it makes to the UK economy.
