Tourmaline and the Museum of Marvels Trail

15–23 Feb 2025
Tickets: £3, kids go free
Visitor Centre, Old Royal Naval College, King William Walk, Greenwich, London, SE10 9NN

Tourmaline’s strange new magical powers are causing chaos, and she desperately wants to know how to control them. When she receives a mysterious postcard promising her answers, she sets off on an unforgettable adventure to the Museum of Marvels.

This half-term, join us for the Tourmaline and the Museum of Marvels Trail, organised by Kids in Museums and Little Tiger. The national trail for families is inspired by Tourmaline and the Museum of Marvels by Ruth Lauren – a fun, feminist adventure series for children aged 9–12.

Daughter of an artefact hunter, Tourmaline is a very determined girl, who along with her closest friends, finds herself on series of magical adventures, from sailing the high seas, solving mysteries and even taking to the skies.

Our free trail takes place inside the Visitor Centre, where families can pick up their free activity sheet and join the adventure. Search for Tourmaline, her friends and an assortment of magical objects hiding in the museum. Complete the spotter trail and get a free Tourmaline sticker!

Children can also design their very own Museum of Marvels. Three winning designs will win a signed Tourmaline book bundle and a National Art Pass (plus kids) courtesy of  ArtFun – giving one adult plus children under 16 free entry to hundreds of museums, galleries and historic houses across the UK as well as 50% off major exhibitions. Full competition terms and conditions.

How to book

To join the trail, you can buy admission tickets on the day at our Visitor Centre, or book in advance by buying a General Admission ticket or a Visitor Centre ticket.
