Choctober Half Term

Join us this October half term for an array of chocolate-themed family activities, from the downright delicious to something a little spookier. Inspired by our Chocolate House exhibition, you are invited to learn about the history of drinking chocolate, with an extra dash of spookiness.  

Please note: Children must always be accompanied by an adult (1 adult per 4 children).

Hot Chocolate Lolly Making Workshop 

Try your hand as a master chocolatier. Led by our expert friends from the Chocolate Museum you will learn about the history of hot chocolate, whilst trying different types of chocolate. Plus, you will get the chance to make your own hot chocolate lolly, ready to savour at home in a mug of hot milk. 

Pre-booking is strongly encouraged as there are only a limited number of tickets available.

Suggested age: 6-14+
Price: £3.50 (adults & children), concessions available. Ticket price includes entry to the Visitor Centre.
Times: 11am–12pm, 1pm–2pm & 3pm–4pm 

This session has now sold out. However, you can still take part in the ‘Spooktacular Storytelling’ session and the ‘Great Chocolate Pumpkin Activity Trail’. 

Spooktacular Storytelling

Gather around for a family-friendly spooky story. Lear how chocolate has been used for dastardly deeds and discover untold tales about the ghoulish side of Greenwich.  

Drop-in, first come first served. 

Suggested age: 6-12+
Price: Free (adults will need to purchase a £3 entry ticket to the Visitor Centre)
Times: 11.15–11.45am, 12.15–12.45pm & 2.15–2.45pm 

The Chocolate Pumpkin Activity Trail 

Pick up a free trail booklet from our Visitor Centre desk, and hunt for the pumpkin clues whilst learning about ghostly traditions through the ages and creepy chocolate facts. Once you discover the secret word, claim your Halloween-treat prize!
