Tudor Palace Palaver with HistoryRiot
16 - 19 February, 4pm / 20 February, 2pm & 4pm
Tickets: £18 per device/household
Online - Zoom
Come and meet Henry VIII’s mother, Elizabeth of York, as she pays an unexpected visit to her favourite palace to see how her new building work is going. There’s drama in the air with an upcoming Royal Wedding, and a bit of uncertainty as to how the work is coming along. Oh, and there’s Henry’s 10th Birthday to organise!
Immerse yourself in Tudor life, get involved in the story, and try to impress the Queen, as HistoryRiot – after successful partnerships with the Old Royal Naval College for Halloween and First Sundays – zoom you back in time to get a fun-filled flavour of life at Greenwich Palace as it was in Tudor times.
“We did this yesterday, total escapism and brilliant fun for all the family.”
“Thank you so much! My two daughters (ages 7 and 10) really enjoyed it. In fact the 10yo said it was ‘Epic!’”
“The whole event was a glorious tonic and I loved every moment of it …. lovely variety with facts, fun and really interactive. The looks on the kids’ faces said it all!”
If you’ve been missing getting out and interacting with history and its characters face-to-face at heritage sites this year, here’s the perfect opportunity to get comfy on the sofa, laugh, learn and have fun together as a family. You can even travel around the palace with friends and relatives if they come too.
This interactive Zoom show runs over half-term afternoons from Tuesday to Saturday, and lasts approximately 1 hour 15 minutes. Tickets are per device and as a family-orientated event designed to entertain people of all ages and create quality time to spend together, we ask that an adult is present at all times with any children who are joining us. So put your feet up for a bit, you deserve it, and let us entertain you all! (Our suggested minimum age is 6.)
