What’s on for kids this summer

Lawn Games
Wednesday 3, 10, 17 & 24 August, 11am-1pm & 2-4pm, free

Bring the family for a game of croquet, quoits or skittles for some free summer fun. You will find historical characters on our lawns having a go themselves, so come along and strike up a conversation and play a game or two.

Storytime & children’s workshop
Wednesday 3, 10, 17 & 24 August, 11am & 12pm, free

Meet local author and astronomer Tom Kerss for an interactive story reading and workshops, featuring his book The Squirrel That Watched The Stars.

Summer Challenges
Monday-Sunday, 10am-5pm, free

Visit the Mezzanine Gallery in the Visitor Centre, currently hosting our ‘The Queen Visits’ display, where you will find our free family arts area. Each week there will be new activities to get creative with and new challenges to get you thinking about history and our site. There will be something for all ages from 3-12, just look our for our ‘Summer Challenges’.

Monday-Sunday, 10am-5pm, free

Pick up your free copy of our Family Quest Map in the Visitor Centre to send you on a journey of exploration around our site. Discover things you’ve never noticed before at the Old Royal Naval College.
