Lunar New Year
Saturday 21 January | 12pm - 8.30pm
Tickets: £Free (£5 entry to the Painted Hall)
Join us to celebrate the Lunar New Year with a spectacular light show, music, food stalls, and a special late opening of Museum of the Moon in the Painted Hall.
Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site will be illuminated with a free programme of events as part of the Greenwich Light Time series, linking the National Maritime Museum and Old Royal Naval College through Greenwich Town Centre. The event will include live performances, family workshops, talks and tours and planetarium shows at Royal Museums Greenwich. Visit their website to find out more.
The day events will culminate in a spectacular light show from 5.30pm until 8.30pm, colourfully lighting up the Old Royal Naval College colonnades, the iconic domes and shining beams of light into the air above Queen’s House and across the classical buildings.
There are plenty of exciting activities to get stuck into here and at the Maritime Museum leading up to the evening display, so join us any time from noon to make a day of it.
**Please note: Tickets for Museum of the Moon on this date are now sold out. However, you can join us for the free on-site activities.**
