Whether you wish to enjoy a leisurely lunch in the Café, a drink in the Pub or a picnic in the grounds we have a range of food and drink options for you to choose from. Look out for our seasonal coffee, snacks and ice-cream pop-up stalls across our grounds.


The Old Royal Naval College is home to two shops, so whether you’re looking for London and Greenwich souvenirs, gifts for a loved one, or something to remember your visit, we have you covered. All purchases make a vital contribution towards protecting our heritage for the future.

Painted Hall Café

Enjoy a wide range of freshly prepared seasonal salads, sandwiches and daily hot and cold specials. Delicious cakes and selection of speciality teas are available throughout the day, alongside a range of wines and beers. All served in the newly restored Undercroft, beneath the Painted Hall.

The Old Brewery

A Young’s gastropub serving fresh, seasonal, British food sourced from around the South East of England and a fantastic range of London-brewed craft beers and London-distilled spirits. The Old Brewery also regularly hosts events and tastings.

Grab a picnic

If you have brought your own food or grabbed a picnic from the Café, why not sit on one of our lawns and enjoy the beautiful surroundings? All we ask is that you help us to keep our grounds tidy and throw away your litter in one of the designated bins.


Visitor Centre Shop

This is our largest shop selling everything from guidebooks and souvenirs, to toys for the kids. Our Visitor Centre shop is full of books, gifts, jewellery and toys.

Painted Hall Shop

Take home a souvenir of your visit to the Painted Hall or extend your knowledge with our range of books themed around Tudor, naval and Greenwich history. Product ranges include telescopes, silk scarves, stationery and ceramics.
