Temporary Closure

Following Government advice in response to the COVID-19 situation, our site is temporarily closed until further notice.

We are continually monitoring developments and advice from the government and Public Health England, so please check our website for further updates. We'll be sharing some of our heritage and stories of the site on our digital channels, so whilst our gates are shut, there is still access to the Old Royal Naval College.

Easter Activities

Fri 28 Feb 20

This Easter, families can explore an adventurous Easter Egg trail through the grounds from 10th – 13th April. Inspired by the incredible surroundings and naval history of the area, the Easter Egg trail will see children embark on a quest to solve clues to spell out a winning word for a prize Easter Egg.

After such well-received workshops at the Old Royal Naval College during Big Draw 2019, acclaimed illustrator Nick Ellwood is returning with a brand-new exhibition, plus an exciting new children’s activity guide packed with puzzles to complete at home. The exhibition will consist of beautifully hand-drawn originals bringing to life some of the historical figures and quirky stories from the past 500 years at the ORNC.

Easter services will be held in the stunning Chapel of St Paul and St Peter throughout Lent, Holy Week and Good Friday, with a Choral Eucharist on Easter Sunday. You can also join the Old Royal Naval College and Trinity Laban Choir for an incredible rendition of Haydn’s The Creation on 8th April.

Our beautiful grounds, with a gorgeous view of the River Thames, are free to visit and open daily – the perfect place for a relaxing walk and picnic with the family as the weather warms up.
